CCNP Security certification program is aligned specifically to the job role of the CISCO Network Security Engineer responsible for security in Routers, Switches ,Networking devices and appliances, as well as choosing , deploying, supporting and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions for the networking environments.
CCNP Security delivers the practical skills needed to enforce cyber security performance, gain high quality security service levels, and meet compliance mandates.
The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) recognizes that CISCO CNNP Security course content meets the CNSS 4013 training standard. In addition, the United States Department of Defence (DoD) has certified and approved this certification as DoD8570.01-M complaint for the IAT Level II Category.
The following topics are general guidelines for the content likely to be included on the exam. However, other related topics may also appear on any specific delivery of the exam. CCNA Security or any CCIE certification can act as a prerequisite.
